- Have a valid job offer from an Australian employer.
- Meet the skills, qualifications, and English language requirements for the nominated occupation.
- Have at least two years of work experience in the nominated occupation unless an exemption applies.
2. Employer Nomination Scheme Visa (subclass 186)
- Have a valid job offer from an Australian employer.
- Meet the skills, qualifications, and English language requirements for the nominated occupation.
- Be under 45 years of age unless an exemption applies.
3. Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional (subclass 494)
- Be nominated by an employer who is in a designated regional area of Australia.
- Have an occupation on the relevant skilled occupation list.
- Have at least three years of relevant work experience in your nominated occupation.
- Meet the English language proficiency requirements.
- Meet health and character requirements.
- The visa also requires you to meet certain age requirements and score a minimum number of points on the points test.
- If an individual is granted a subclass 494 visa, they can live and work in Australia for up to five years. They can also bring their family members with them, who can work and study in Australia. After the individual has lived and worked in a designated regional area for at least three years, they may be eligible to apply for permanent residency through the subclass 191 visa.
